J. Patrick (Pat) Whitehead, CPA, CFE, MBA

J. Patrick (Pat) Whitehead is a licensed CPA and a Certified Fraud Examiner. He is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Until December 2008, Mr. Whitehead was with a local and regional CPA firm for more than eight years providing small and medium sized businesses with internal accounting and financial management expertise. He served various companies as their interim or part-time CFO/Controller and stepped in when a prior CFO or Controller left or as an operating accountant for a company under Federal Bankruptcy Court. Mr. Whitehead also works on special projects including due diligence, fraud or forensic investigations and in the tax area.

Having worked with both publicly traded and privately held companies for more than 20 years, Mr. Whitehead has an extensive background in all financial accounting operations including general ledger accounting, corporate consolidations, internal controls, systems development and installation and general management.

Mr. Whitehead has worked with two publicly traded companies at both the corporate staff and divisional levels. At the corporate level, he performed internal audits ... heading up the internal audit department of one company. At the divisional level, Mr. Whitehead was a service accounting manager for a scale manufacturer and the general manager and controller of a small group of daily newspapers.

Prior to his work with area CPA firms, Mr. Whitehead was Chief Financial Officer of a group of privately held companies involved in equipment rental/sales and construction for over seven years.

Additionally, Mr. Whitehead has taught introductory accounting and personal income taxes on a part-time basis.

Mr. Whitehead is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and holds a Masters of Business Administration from The Ohio State University.
